在中空玻璃的生產(chǎn)中，雙道密封中空玻璃生產(chǎn)可靠性高而廣泛使用。雙組份中空玻璃膠的涂布有2種方式機(jī)器涂布跟手工涂布。目前采用手工涂布的中空玻璃生產(chǎn)因成本低投資少被大多生產(chǎn)廠家采用。

雙組份打膠機(jī)的出現(xiàn)滿足了上述手工刮膠時(shí)無法避免的三個(gè)缺 陷。同時(shí)經(jīng)打膠機(jī)高壓涂至玻璃邊緣上的膠結(jié)構(gòu)密實(shí)，而同樣的膠手工混合后涂至玻璃上就松軟有氣泡。就像水泥混凝土經(jīng)震動震實(shí)的結(jié)構(gòu)性強(qiáng)，而未經(jīng)震實(shí)的混凝土就算加大水泥的配合量也無法達(dá)到所需強(qiáng)度。所以高標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的中空玻璃如幕墻中空都要求一定采用機(jī)涂的方式生產(chǎn)。

目前，世界上雙組份打膠機(jī)的使用必須采用配套的雙組份機(jī)涂膠，而機(jī)涂膠實(shí)際上就是經(jīng)過充分研磨過濾的手涂膠，這種膠流動性好細(xì)膩無雜質(zhì)，可這種膠對膠本身的密封性能關(guān)系不大，僅僅是為了配合機(jī)器的可操作性能，就是這樣經(jīng)過精細(xì)物理加工的膠。
